Shambhala Day which is the start of the Tibetan New Year. We will meet to practice from 11 am until 1 pm and then visit a local restaurant for a celebratory lunch.

On Saturday the 10th February we will meet to celebrate Shambhala Day which is the first day of the Tibetan New Year – the Year of the Wood Dragon.   This is said to be a year when our visions can become a reality, when we can start new projects and take them forward.  So definitely  a year to be creative.

We will meet at 11 for refreshments followed by 108 gongs the traditional way to begin.  After the opening chants and a short period of sitting meditation, we will practice the Elixir of Life, a practice written by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche and a reminder of the passing of time and the precious and ephemeral nature of our lives and all phenomena.  At 1 pm we will go out to share lunch in a local restaurant.

You are invited to attend in person or online and we look forward to seeing and celebrating with you.
