Words are the meeting place of thought and physiology. Where they meet is the breath. Understanding the relationship between words and breath makes conversation, our way of connecting to others, a deep inner experience.

These workshops offer participants ways to integrate meditation and mindful communication in a way that enriches our everyday life.

Meditation instruction will also be offered to newcomers as part of the evening.

This talk is based on the Lost Art of Good Conversation which is the latest book by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, the current head of Shambhala. In a world of smartphones and connectivity, we often feel burned out and disconnected. With teachings from this book, we explore ways we can reconnect with others and nourish our lives.

When: Thursday 21st June 2018 7.30pm to 9pm  (tea available from 7pm).

Where: Bristol Shambhala Centre, 17 Lower Redland Road, Bristol
