Saturday 21 October 2023 (10:30 -13:00)
126 Hampton Road, Redland
Having looked at Generosity, Discipline, Patience, Exertion and Meditation we now come to Prajna which is the final one of the Six Paramitas, and is regarded as the most important in some ways. Often translated as discriminating insight, it is the faculty we all possess to some, often limited, degree which cuts through the confusing overlay of conceptual thinking that masks the directness of our perception of reality.
The use of Prajna when combined with the other five paramitas brings them all to their full measure as "Transcendental Virtues”, meaning they then “transcend concepts”, thus freeing them from our personal projections.
We are pleased to have David Hope join us via Zoom at the October City Retreat. David is known to many of us having visited Bristol many times in the past and also directed residential programmes at Dechen Chöling and here in the UK. Do feel free to join us to explore the last of the six paramitas. Even if you have not been able to attend the previous talks the material will still be relevant.
