Thursday Open Evening - Noble Silence, Speech, Body & Mind
Join us on Thursday 24th of July to investigate and contemplate the Buddhist teachings on Noble Silence.
Noble silence within the Shambhala tradition and other contemplative practices is a period of intentional quiet where external distractions are minimized to foster inner awareness and mental clarity. It is not simply about refraining from speech but about cultivating a deeper state of stillness and presence.
This practice allows individuals to observe their thoughts and emotions without judgement promoting mindfulness and self-discovery. Lead by long term practitioner and Shambhala student Nick Shutler.
The talk will take place at the Thursday evening Open House from 7.30 to 8 45 pm at the Quakers Meeting House, 126 Hampton Road, Redland, BS6 6JE – you’re welcome to come online or in person
